Anant Peshavaria reached half-century for Town

Town’s Sunday XI lost by twenty six runs to Long Marston. Acting Town’s skipper Anant Peshavaria won the toss and elected to field, Long Marston’s openers Rory Miscampbell and M. Shepherd both retired after smashing half centuries as Marston raced to one hundred and twenty two from just sixteen overs.  Town slowed the run rate down and wickets began to fall.   Kyle Bennion took four wickets for forty nine runs, Greg Liebenberg took two for thirty runs and there was one wicket for Luke Tory, Marston closing on two hundred & twenty-five for seven. Young Tom Woodham bowled well without any reward.

Town made a spirited start with Greg Liebenberg bashing a quick fire half century before retiring, Ade Freeman batted steadily for thirty-two runs, supported by Oscar Bones (eighteen) and Alex Hallows (fourteen), skipper Peshavaria retired late on with fifty runs as Town closed on one hundred & ninety-six.
