SSMFL,D2: Old Bradwell start league campaign with away win

Old Bradwell United have won their opening Spartan South Midlands League, Division 2 fixture 3-1 at Bovingdon.

In the fourth minute Old Bradwell took the lead when Bhasin’s corner was floated in and Butler rans in to score virtually on the line.

On 39 minutes it was two-nil to the visitors as Dyer stepped in to send Butler up and he scored from Valentine’s free kick.

Good hold up play by Wells and a lovely weighted through ball found Cribb, who took the ball around the goalkeeper and slotted home on 79 minutes.

Bovingdon scored a late consolation.
