SSMFL D1: Coles looking for Winslow to bounce back as Lions visit + Flooring flying!

Sports Shots caught up with Winslow United’s Sean Coles after the forward’s brace earned his side a point at Risborough Rangers last weekend.

United had been 1-3 down before Coles late equaliser after a Ryan Freshwater penalty earned Paul Alleyne’s side a share of the spoils.

Coles commented:

It was good to come away with a point, being 3-1 down, and having 10 men. The team dug deep and managed to grab a point and we didn’t give up.

United return to Elmfields gate tomorrow for a league encounter.

London Lions will be a tough game, they are a good footballing side but on our day we can beat anyone.

Coles and his team mates have been working hard ahead of the game.

We have been in training because our recent performances haven’t been good enough, so we need to put that right on Saturday.

As well as United fighting at the top, Coles also has some big games on the horizon with Aylesbury Flooring.

Our (Winslow) main focus is the league, but it is always good to win a cup.

My next three games for Flooring are massive and we have a good side going into the games and we are flying.
