Buckingham Athletic are up to ninth in the Spartan South Midlands League, Division 1 table.
Robbie Carter headed in Rob MacDonald’s cross to give the Athletic a 10th minute lead at Risborough Rangers last night.
The visitors went close again when Neil King’s free kick hit the post just seven minutes later.
Carter and Drew Mitten both went close before Sam Olawale hit the post on 25 minutes.
Olawale then saw the Risborough goalkeeper produce an excellent save before he denied Mitten to take his side in just one goal down at the break.
Three minutes into the second half saw Carter head in Mitten’s corner at the near post to make it five goals in just two games.
On 71 minutes Ryan Marsden headed in Mitten’s corner to extend the Athletic’s lead to three.
Griffiths replaced Carter and Mitten with Appleton and Stapleton.
The visitors completed the win as substitute Stapleton set up MacDonald, who shot home from 12 yards with just three minutes left.
Many thanks to Colin Howkins for his updates.
