Bucks CCC skipper Tom Hampton reflected on his side’s Unicorns T20 games with Herefordshire CCC last Sunday.
Hampton told Sports Shots:
In the first game we bowled and fielded brilliantly and were able to to restrict Hereford to a bellow par total. It was then really pleasing the way the batters went about the chase, especially Dan Marles on debut.
The second game we got ourselves into a position to post a really competitive score but unfortunately weren’t able to capitalise and maybe we tried to hit the big shot rather than take the runs on offer. Having said that we put a total on the board. The two guys from Hereford then batted brilliantly and struck the ball really well and consistently. We had a couple of half chances to get rid of them both but unfortunately missed them and they were the deserved winners of the second game.
