Milton Keynes – 194 all out off 40 overs
Great Horwood – 115 all out off 29 overs
Great Horwood were beaten again on Saturday, this time at Milton Keynes by 79 runs & the bowling of Navshan Nakhwa who took six of the Horwood wickets.
Horwood won the toss and elected to field, but struggled to contain their hosts in the early overs, Nimesh Chavda made 44, Nick Hillman 22 and Neil Gordon 26 set Milton Keynes on their way, a couple of wickets fell before Grant Ebrahim hit 24 followed closely by Dan Ramsell with 19. Some great fielding towards the end saw three run outs and the home side finish on 194 all out, with Josh Nix, Simon Ridgway & Haydon Morrison all taking a brace of wickets each.
Horwood started their innings well, skipper Stuart Parker made 50 before being run out, Sam Willet reached 28 before being bowled, and at 58-1 then 84-2 things looked promising but Horwood collapsed, Josh Nix did make 16 but the remaining wickets failed to make double figures, 5 were out for ducks with Nakhwa taking the man of the match accolade for his figures of 6 for 28 off 9 overs, Brian Tompkins taking 3 wickets off 5 overs.
Milton Keynes took the 25 points whilst Horwood picked up 6, and face a trip this weekend to top of the table North Crawley.
