Buckingham Athletic striker Robbie Carter has spoken to Sports Shots as his side host Wodson Park in Spartan South Midlands League, Division 1 on Saturday afternoon.
The striker reflected on the Athletic’s season.
Obviously losing Jack (Menday) was a huge knock for the team. We started the season with a lot of injuries, but people are now returning to full fitness.
Carter himself has also had a spell on the sidelines.
I personally had the hamstring set back that continues to niggle. I’m looking forward to getting back and scoring goals and pushing up the table.
The Athletic frontman clearly enjoys being based at Stratford Fields.
They are a great bunch of lads to play with at Buckingham Athletic, both on and off the pitch, in the 1st team and under 18s. It’s a great club to play for.
In closing Carter praised the ground team who work hard to get games put on.
It’s been unfortunate, with all the rain we have had, the pitch has had a battering but credit to Dick and Colin who put a lot of effort in. I am looking forward to this weekend’s game.
