Unite MK could have taken an early lead, but Little clean through was foiled by Jahn saving to his left. Despite it being quite end-to-end, clear chances were proving difficult, although the momentum of the game changed within two minutes.
In the 25th minute, Ben Green found himself with the ball on the corner of the Unite MK area. There didn’t look to be much danger for Unite MK, but Green showing great skill proceeded to ghost past 3 players and smash the ball into the top right of goal.
Then almost immediately after, a ball over the top wasn’t dealt with by Essilfie. The visiting left back was then robbed by Butler who was then fouled. The Referee deeming he was pulled back by Essilfie, who was subsequently sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity.
With Unite having to re-organise Old Bradwell netted again through Green again, who found himself out left, cut in taking on 2 players. His cross created a scramble and the ball fell to Green who toe punted it in to the goal.
To Unite MK’s credit they fought back and started to cause Old Bradwell some problems. They moved the ball forward quickly using the pace of Tomsik and Little to good effect.
A Unite MK corner from the right was not cleared and it fell to Jakub Tomsik who dispatched a fine half volley past Jahn in goal.

Half Time 2-1

Old Bradwell enjoy a good spell of pressure in the opening of the second half  but it was Unite MK who then nearly scored, with Brahm through on goal his shot was saved by Jahn coming out of his goal well.

It was 69th minute before the game was secured. Again another scramble in the Unite area looked like it would come to nothing, until the ball fell to Tommy Cooke who calmly finished in to the bottom right corner.

A four-minute spell 10 minutes later finished any hope of Unite MK coming back.

First a free-kick from Maxey out wide, was met by Dan Smith who got in front of the keeper to head in then in the 82nd minute, Green completed a well-deserved hat-trick; A quick break resulted in Feaver shooting, with the ball looking to go in it was brilliantly cleared by the defender with a diving header. Fortunately for the home side it fell to Green who finished from close range to score his 12th of the season.

Luke Little

There was still time for Unite to score again though with the referee awarding a penalty, which Little dispatched.
