CS&TFL,D1: Gavrovski previews 3rd placed Robins clash at the top with Raunds in fourth

Stephen Gavrovski has spoken to Sports Shots as third-place Buckingham Town head to Raunds Town, who are fourth in the ChromaSport & Trophies league, division 1, for a big game on Saturday (9th December) afternoon.

The Robins defender netted a goal, described in the match report as a worldy, as Gary Ollard’s men defeated S&L Corby 5-1 to continue their incredible league run at Manor Fields.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the third-placed Town go to face a Raunds side who are just a place below them in the table, one point behind, but having played two games more. Even at this early stage of the season the Robins must look to win games against side’s in their mini-league at the top of the division.

We started the season very well picking up maximum points. Our home form is incredible and we are still unbeaten in over a year now so its a tough place for teams to come.

Gavrovski has enjoyed a good start to the campaign and is looking forward to the Robins competing for honours this season.

My season’s started well, plus we have a strong squad with depth. We have added key players throughout, where we needed to strengthen. We are focused and know what we have to do over the Christmas period, starting with Raunds this Saturday. We dropped points against Pinchbeck so we need to ensure we gain maximum points where we can.

We are pushing for promotion and I personally believe we have the quality and depth to ensure we do go up this year. We were unlucky last season but we all believe this is our year.

In closing, Gavrovski added.

Thanks also for the support we have from Sports Shots.
