Mursley United made it four wins in four to maintain their push towards the top of Spartan South Midlands Division 2 with a 2-1 win over Tring Corinthians.
The hosts went ahead in the second minute as Danny Clarke was brought down in the penalty area and Adam Bone dispatched the spot kick. Bone also hit a post with a curling effort before Mitchell Spiers added a second. Bone also had a rising drive from twenty five yards tipped over by the keeper.
A swift counter-attack saw the visitors pull a goal back through weeks just before half-time. In the second half, the visitors put Mursley under pressure, but the home defence remained solid and a Bone free-kick was saved by the keeper with five minutes left.
