NCH Sun Lge: Nags Head looking to continue their positive start

Nags Head joint manager Mike Knibbs has spoken to Sports Shots as his side continue their excellent season in the New City Heating Sunday League this morning.

Knibbs told Sports Shots;

This Sunday sees us host Interact FC which will be a tough game for us, as they currently sit in second place in the league after finishing third last season. With us already notching wins over Padbury BT and Eagle Athletic, who were the two teams that finished above them last season, they’ll definitely not take us lightly.

We are quietly confident that, after strengthening our squad this season with young and exciting players from the local development teams of Winslow and Buckingham, on our day we could give any team in the New City Heating Sunday Premier league a run for their money. We had a shaky start to the season with having to integrate new players, but we’ve found our feet now with wins over the top two teams from last year and having completed the double over our local rivals Buckingham United A this past Sunday with an emphatic 5-1 win.
