B&B Int Cup 1R: Ath U25 come from behind to clinch penalty shootout victory

Buckingham Athletic U25 survived a scare before making it into the 2nd round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup on Saturday.

The Athletic fell two goals behind and were wobbling before a late rally produced goals from Josh Hooper and Tom Kennard to level at 2-2. They might have even won the game in 90 minutes had the Hanslope keeper not produced a string of saves.

Larry Woodward’s side kept their nerve and went through 4-2 on penalties.

In the next round the Athletic will travel to play at Olney Colts, who they played a friendly against recently (Images below)
