A feature on one of our new clubs, Olney Town.
On the Field
After 2 months off the 1st Team and Reserves squads reported back to pre season training on 1st July and have a busy schedule of friendlies in preparation for the new season which begins on 5th August.
Following an excellent 2016/17 season, culminating in winning the Buckingham Charity Cup and a strong 4th place league finish the Club is making a strong push for promotion this year to the UCL Premier Division-our management team remains stable and is led by Neil Griffiths and supported by Ben Hill (Assistant Manager), Chris Pink (Coach) and Dave Morgan (Goalkeeper Coach). The Reserves will once again be managed by Jamie Lands and supported by new assistant Mitch Toyer.
Despite coming close to promotion last year the club is delighted to see that the vast majority of both squads have been retained for the forthcoming season supplemented by a number of good quality signings-both squads have a tremendous work ethic and team spirit!
The season kicks off on the 5th August-
Saturday 5th August vs. Melton Town (H)
Friday 11th August vs. Thrapston Town (A)
Saturday 5th August vs. Bourne Town (A)
Tuesday 8th August vs. Potton United (H)
