PSF: Grendon still looking for players + news on Berko loss

Grendon Rangers lost 2-1 to new side Berkhamsted Raiders last Saturday.

Playing on a 4g Astro pitch, 28 degree heat and 8 triallists this game was exactly what it said on the tin, a friendly.

A goal in each half cost Grendon. Matt Ginger pulled one back from the penalty spot with 20 minutes to go but Grendon couldn’t break down a determined Berkhamsted defence.

Manager Matt Parsons said;

It was a tough game, most of the players had never meet before. We needed this game to take a closer look at new players and there was some positive performances. The all round team game will come over the next few weeks in training and playing more games but it’s always nice to get 90 minutes and back in the swing of things.

It’s always nice to win but the result wasn’t important today. It was a chance to look at new players. We are still a few short in certain areas but happy with the shape of the squad so far.

Training continues on Monday and Wednesdays 7:15pm start @Westcott Social, Ashendon Road, Westcott. HP18 0PD

New players welcome.
