Old Bradwell United were knocked out of the Anagram Records Trophy, quarter-final in dramatic circumstances to British Airways on Saturday.
David Keene’s side came from behind three times during both normal and extra time before finally departing on penalties.
The home side will be disappointed to have conceded a soft opening goal before Ross Butler’s glancing header put them back on level terms on 38 minutes.
The visitors took the lead again and appeared to be heading into the semi-final, even missing a penalty, before United substitute Peter Bentley smashed in a 92nd minute equaliser, much to the delight of the home followers.
Peter Maxey’s extra time goal ensured at 3-3 the game went to penalties.
United goalkeeper Dan Willett saved well to give his side the advantage from the opening penalty but they were unable to press this home as they eventually lost 3-2 on spot kicks.
