SSMFL,D2: Cooke treble helps Old Bradwell to derby day win

Tommy Cooke netted a treble as Old Bradwell United defeated Mursley United 6-2 in the Spartan South Midlands League, Division 2 today.

Cooke put David Keene’s side ahead after good work from Perkins and Alex Feaver before Perkins shot was saved but Joel Rodwell Bullock made it two with a great strike.

Mursley went in at the break a goal behind as they pulled one back.

Old Bradwell extended their lead in the second period as Cooke netted his second before Feaver converted after being played in by Perkins.

Cooke then netted his third, the home side’s fifth, before he was fouled and Feaver converted from the spot; his 24th goal in 25 games.

Mursley scored a late consolation strike.
