SNCL, D4: Maids Moreton march on at the top!

Andy Hamilton was in fine form with both bat and ball as Dan Allen’s Maids Moreton side romped to another fine victory over local rivals Thornborough ‘A’ to maintain their position at the top of South Northants Division 4.

 

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Maids Moreton scored runs freely with Andy Hamilton crafting a fine 82 not out, ably assisted by Luke Tory with 52 not out. Thornborough’s only wicket taker was Tom Oxley with 1 for 26 as Dan Allen’s men finished on an impressive 182 for 1.

 

Thornborough never really came close to reaching their target and were bowled out for just 60, with Michael Fisk taking 4 for 9 and Andy Hamilton finishing his excellent afternoon’s work with 3 for 7.

SNCL, Div 4: Moreton host local derby

Dan Allen hopes his side can maintain their place at the top of Division 4 when they entertain Thornborough ‘A’ tomorrow.

SNCL, D4: Moreton looking to continue excellent opening

Maid Moreton captain Dan Allen will be looking for his side to continue their excellent start to the season when they travel to Chipping Warden tomorrow.

SNCL, D4: Davis all-round display for Moreton sinks Crown

Adam Davis took four for 35 then hit 38 runs to help Maids Moreton romp to a five-wicket success with five balls to spare against Crown in the South Northants League, Division 4 this afternoon.

After Crown won the toss and invited their hosts to field, Davis picked up four wickets while Luke Tory chipped in with three for 35, both from ten-over stints.

Crown were dismissed for 159 all out.

Davis scored 38 while Nigel Norman struck a fine half century at the top of the order as Moreton chased down their target.
