Wolverton Town are pleased to announce that Nathan Hunt has taken up the role of Chairman for the foreseeable future.
Brief statement from the new chairman:
As Wolverton Town’s new chairman, I’m really looking forward to meeting up with the committee and putting my input into this club going forward, we have now moved to manor fields which is a great ground for us, we will have a few other announcements in the next few weeks.
From the looks of things Wolverton are doing a lot in the background to help push the football club forward.
Wolverton Town FC committee have a couple of announcements to make:
At the end of May 2016 Amanda Keech will be stepping down as Chairman, as many of you may know her health is something she has struggled with over the years, So she no longer has the time to commit to the club as she wanted to. She has been a valuable part of the club over the past 10 years and it is with great regret that she can no longer fulfill the needs of the club in this role.
An exciting new replacement has been found for Chairman and will be announced in due course.
Another exciting announcement the club has to make is that we are very proud and thrilled to reintroduce a very valued member of our club, Scott Humphries, as Vice Chairman with immediate effect.
Scott was Chairman last season 2014-15 and left to help Loughton Manor FC join and progress in our league. He is now back to assist our new Chairman and take the club back to where it should be!
Amanda leaves with high hopes for the future, the club is definitely in the right hands!

Manor Fields have offered us share of their pitch to end of season and we are nearly there with a ground share for the reserves.
Unfortunately we have been unable to find a local pitch for this Saturdays first team game vs AFC Hillgate so it will have to be reversed to their pitch.

Manor Fields games are as follows:
Sat 20 Feb Reserves vs Buckingham Ath Res
Tues 23 Feb 1st team vs Aston Clinton
Sat 27 Feb Reserves vs Old Bradwell Utd Res

Sports Shots understands that Grendon Rangers have offered Wolverton Town their pitch for this weekend’s Spartan South Midlands League, Division 2 clash on Saturday.
The two sides were due to meet at Wolverton Town but after news broke at lunchtime about Town’s 14-day notice to vacate The New Park, Rangers kindly stepped in to offer a solution to their immediate problem.
Since the news broke on Sports Shots at lunchtime the website has been very busy with just seven hits short of 14k hits by 6pm. Clearly showing, yet again, the large interest in local football in the area.
